Tales Of Pete: The Weird Road Trip (Part 15: Unicorn Blood Part 2)

Given my experiences with them, I think there are some misconceptions around unicorns that should be corrected. Namely, the fact they aren’t gentle creatures. Instead, they’re bloodthirsty psychopaths who’d impale someone with their horns for looking at them funny. Still, there were other things I learned about them I didn’t expect which I’ll get into.

“Any ideas?” I asked Carl.

​

“I could hit them pretty easily from here. Problem is, I don’t know if my rounds are strong enough to put them down.”

“So what’re we supposed to do then? Wait until they go away?”

Almost as if in response to that, one of the unicorns got ready to charge. Nostrils flaring, one began running at the tree, kicking up dust as it did. We held onto the branches tightly as we could, bracing for impact with all our strength. Despite this, we were both nearly loosened from the tree when the first unicorn pierced the trunk with its horn. As a matter of fact, I’m pretty sure the whole damn thing would’ve been uprooted if they kept that up.
